OK here is my understanding of the aspire tranny. My aspire has 91k when the manual tranny went out. I have found out that in the manual trannys that the main output berring in them is a weak point. when My tranny went out with 91k the differential in the tranny went out and I went to the junk yard and got another no biggie i thaught then I pout that tranny in the car 11 miles yes thats right 11 miles later the trannys main output berring went out in the thing. now the closest tranny shop told me 1k to fix it. and the closest junk yard that has a tranny has one with 100k miles on it and they want 750$ I am now in the prosess of taking the 2 trannys that I have and changing the differentals from one to another. So from my understanding of the trannys they do have a weak point with the berrings in them.
