If you have a rolling code garage door opener, after you program the homelink transmitter in the car, you then just need to push the program button on the back of your garage door opener itself, it might be behind the light covers of the opener, it's usually on the back of the opener stamped either program code or learn code, press that button and a red light will flash now get in the car and press the homelink button you programed. This should make it work. Make sure the car is in the run position before you try this programming.
