I have a 1995 honda civic EX,recently my local mechanic did the timing belt on my car ...after i picked it and drove for 2 days the carnk pulley came off and fell. towed the car back to his place ...got another one did not look like the same one ( it was froma civic LX) when you compare them both they are very different.I bought the after market underdrive pulley also..I had the mechanic put the one from honda LX and the car was run very stiff very heavy...no performance.then i swapped it with the performance one it was worst...coz my mechanic could not get the timing right..i had bend value car was running more shity.Got sick and tired from all this drama took the car to Honda dealer.they put the honda lx pulley back on it.the car runs like new very smooth no noise,but some how i feel that the drive with the Ex pulley was diff.Out off 100 i would say the performance came back up 80%. did some research on it couldn't find more info..they guy at honda dealership is a motorhead when it comes to honda. i couldn't have been much happier with the money i paid...but still the doubt in my mind is irrating me.

I have reads some of the forums and the guys responding seems very knowledgeble...would be pleased to hear your comments on this issue.
