u mean amplifier right? receiver is a head unit.
well i don't know what amp rating your alternator is, but the RF amp should have an amp rating maybe around 80 amps (check it out!)
if you alternator runs at like 100 amps and you are slammingyour subs with the RF amp which needs 80 amps... you will only have 20 amps to produce power for other devices....
also an amp that draws 80 amps from an alternator that puts out 65 amps... is not good
