Re: self tooting horn

Is the used vehicle a 1984 through 2000 Jeep Cherokee? Not the Grand Cherokee, but the Cherokee? If it is you can purchase a Haynes repair manual number 50010 that explains how to get to all the steering electrical systems that may be causing the problem. Or it's most likely a problem with that retro fit switch or the wiring. I had a buddy back in the seventies out in Blythe who had a '61 GMC truck that honked its horn everytime we made a right turn. It was a lot of fun when there were some cute girls at the corner because he was a shy Baptist minister's son and the girls thought he was being fresh. I begged him not to fix it but he did by pulling the steering wheel and fixing the frayed wire. It's something simple like that on yours too most likely.
