But be ready. A good set of calipers will run you at least $1k to get in the door, and over $2k for the "middle of the road".
Simplying pulling the fuse will disable the ABS on most cars. To completely remove the system will require a fair ammount of work though. You have to remove everything, then redo the plumbing. That can be pretty difficult since you are dealing with the hardlines.
To duct the brakes you will need to either remove dust shield or modify it. You can high temp flex hosing, or even buy used brake ducting from race teams. You want the duct to be aimed right at the middle of the rotor so the incoming air goes though the vents so the rotor is cooled evenly. Just pointing it at one side of the rotor will warp it. For even more cooling you can run a second duct to the caliper, although that is probably over-kill.
