i also think its a shame that tamiya spend time making the equipment for what are effectively re-runs with new tooling (i know it doesn't sound right but try to undertsand) they should focus on the things the customer wants and not what they want. we all want more detail, engines etc.. i mean, when i bought the 350z i was really excited that this was now something i was one step closer to owning (so what if its only a model) but no D-I-Y underside detail, not even steering front wheels (although i did modify the front axle to give me steering wheels!) if they put an engine in the z people would be buying loads of them, we'd be putting them in our skylines (wahey, boost skyline sales) we'd have full-detail R35/infiniti g35 (?) i, and i'm sure many of you want to see tamiya satisfy our cravings for detail and change, that's why i loved making trucks, you can put in so much detail, sorry tamiya but face it, Aoshima's on a roll and tamiya's trailing slowly in their wake of new kits, dont you guys want more ? i know i do
