Has anyone else tried acetone as a gasoline additive / octane booster? What are the results.

This is what I thought as well.
The claims that it will eat everything is unfounded and completely ridiculous if you have any knowledge about chemistry whatsoever.
The concentration is not even close to some of the other additives in our fuel that could do the exact same thing in high concentrations.
