I was going to start a thread just like this.LOL. Pope John Paul 2 was 84 when he died, this new Pope is only six years younger. Seeing that the average male's lifespan at least in America hovers in the high 70s that doesn't give him much time to get to work, ( but what's not to say he could live a long productive life into his '90s?) The oldest Pope elected was Pope Adrian I in 772 A.D. I would've thought the Cardinals would've elected someone younger (at least in his early 60s.) But this is who they believe should be in charge of the Roman Catholic Church, so let's give him a chance to see what he can do.
