its because dry nitrous depends on your stock injectors to provide the intake charge with enough fuel. If there's ever a problem that would prohibit them from giving enough fuel (for example hitting fuel cut on the rev limitter) the cylinder would probably detonate and you could snap a connecting rod or bend a valve.
