Make all the claims ya want guys (and girls) BUT the OFFICIAL world record for the fastest stock production car was ( read WAS) the McLearen F1 with a price close to 1.4 million US dollars. That record stood until 2 weeks ago (end of March 2005). Koenig ... yes Koenig; the aftermarket body parts manufacturer; has built a car called the Koenigsegg. It has a top end of 388 kph (255 mph) and is a production car. The price is close $350,000 US dollars. Go check out their official website at
