The aluminum tank is the oil tank for the engine. The airbox is for the rear end cooler. Air comes from the back deck, through the hoses, through the radiator, and then out the back of the car in the square opening. As for the airjacks, there are inlets on the sides of the car just in front of the doors for them that are hooked up during pit stops.

Thanks for the help. Here's the ref. pic I was looking at (the pic doesn't belong to me, and sorry, but I don't have the source handy to give proper credit...) You can see how the vent hoses go from the rear duct directly into the box.

So how does this really work? Is there some sort of compressor somewhere that takes this air from this 'box' and puts it into a tank somewhere? I figured those round things behind the wheels were the jacks, but didn't think they were connected to this somehow?
