One more stupid question - can the valve body be accessed without removing the tranny? (i.e., just by dropping the pan)
I wonder what recourse people with low milage have when you can be pretty sure that most of the 4T65E's will die prematurely. If it was possible to just drop the pan and replace the culprit (I understand that if it's been slipping for a while, other parts are toast and it will need R&R).
