I only have canned air at the moment as well. I did get a mini compressor but I just can't get enough paint out of the gun to make it worthwhile using.. PSI is too low.
I know what you mean about cans being a nightmare. I'm just about to buy a compressor, as buying canned air is a waste of money IMO.
Also, you can polish clear parts, I read how to do it somewhere. Do a search but it's not going to be easy, good luck I hope it all works out for you.
