Don't forget to preload the outer bearing when reinstalling the wheel bearing lock nut, TORQUE TO (58-72ft-lb.) Spin the hub assemb. several times in both directions. Then you back the nut off till' (0 ft-lbs) and retorque only to 4.3-13 inch lbs. NOT FT-LBS, BUT INCH POUNDS. SPIN HUB SEVERAL TIMES IN BOTH DIRECTIONS AGAIN, RETORQUE TO 4.3-13 INCH LBS. Now install lock washer by tightening the lock nut within 15 to 30 degrees to align screw holes. Spin hub again several times in both directions. All this ensures you have correctly seated that bearing.
