Well the oil light came on and started to get the rattle noise when depressing the gas pedal. As I went to the repair shop the mechanic said it sound like the oil pump is not working. As I did do the regular oil change! I did noticed I did not have any oil (very low) put 2 quart and stilll seem low. I'm a mechanic by trade but I can get my finger dirty as long as I know where the part is located. Just not enough information available via internet on engine for the Rodeo. I've order my parts like the oil pump, lower gasket and high gasket (unknown if I really need it or not)

along with a timing belt which I might tackle but I do need to change the cram belt seem to have cracks in the threads... very weird
