That is not true, we use all of our brain, go pick up a modern psychology book and it will tell you that.
The FBI used hypnosis in the 80's (i believe) but they were supposed to stop using it because through leading questions they were able to get anyone they wanted to confess to anything at all. After a while they were supposed to be videotaped and have a lawyer there and everything to make sure they werent used but I think they had to abolish that technique.
I believe fully in hypnosis, like you said it doesnt work on some people but I have seen it done to people before and it is pretty crazy.
