Last month, I got my hands on a 85 190E. Thing is, the jump from 1st to 2nd is really rough and delayed. It's driving me nuts. (I know the 190s have this problem.) I have a feeling the tranny is going to go. As long as I'm going to replace it, I was wondering if it was possible to convert it to a 5-spd? (which i like so much better.) We've got a great junkyard here and parts are ridiculously cheap. You're welcome to laugh if it's a horrible idea. Just thought it was worth a shot to ask.
