I just started working at a custom rim shop, and the reason that the rims are not certified is the amount of money that it takes to get them certified. Mostly, the rims being made are used for racing or show cars, Monday I got to make rims for a Lambrogini (sp?). They are nice looking rims, 3 piece, aluminum with a mirror finish.
I was wondering about the ramifications because once we are caught up on the orders, I might have a chance to make a set for myself.
