if I sound like a retard, I apologize, what color is your fluid? Since you have an '01, your car is using the orange-colored coolant, that would make your coolant look black, like it's burnt, but still muddy. I agree w/ BigDan58, I believe your trans cooler is cracked, you'll also see a bit of discoloration in your coolant bottle.
