My stalling never went away though. It was still present just not as bad anymore.

But that doesn't even matter. I was driving the other day and I stopped at a red light, I stopped completely, shifted into park like usual, then rev'ed my engine when it felt like it was going to die... But when I went back into Drive it wouldn't change gears or something.

I'm not sure if the linkage is broken on the transmission, the gears are sticking, or, if the tranmission is completely toast. Nonetheless, I got a replacement car that same night.

(1984 Volvo DL) which runs completely perfect without any problems at all. ALthough if I can still save my good ole' pontiac then I'd like to know.

Do you know of any faulty anything which may cause the transmission to fail? Or... Could you give me a definition or description of what a completely toasted transmision is?

I could push it into Drive, and, just slowly floor it... it would move very little.... I couldn't reverse or anything. We'll see.

All feedback will be greatly appreciated... lol.

Thanks.
