For $150.00 you could get GOOD springs, H&R from
www.tirerack.com they come in a .75" drop. Anything more than 1" of lowering should be combined with performance struts - Koni, KYB, Bilstein, etc.
If you don't want to spend the money to lower your car correctly, DO NOT DO IT! You will regret it. Suspension work is not the cheapest of upgrades, be cheap and you will feel it. Unlike a junky intake, you dont feel that with every bump, dip, crack, etc.
