They can't use a "real" Hemi design these days because they wouldn't meet emmisions standards. The head of a new Hemi today is more or less half of a Hemi. The valves are inclined and when the valve opens it moves the valve away from the cylinder wall preventing shrouding. This cyinder head design is not a hemisperical head. Want proof? Search on google for "New Hemi designs" and tell me what you come up with.
Yep, you're real cool!

Anyhow, you didn't even read the link that I provided did you. The 5.7L and the 6.1L Hemi both have hemispherical heads. No they do not have domed pistons, but neither did the first Hemi, the 331, that Chrysler put in a car.

You need to read up on the history of the Hemi some more, you honestly don't know what you're talking about. Here are a few links for you and even though they are kind of long I highly suggest you read them. I doubt you will though, you seem to have made you mind up even though you don't know what you're talking about. Also, I'm done with this, I've proven my point and I've posted facts to back it up.

The 5.7L and 6.1L Hemi.

The 426 Hemi.

Hemi history.

Also, on a side note Chrysler was not really trying to say that the Magnum can beat a Lotus in that ad. They are trying to say that the Magnum is fast and sporty yet you can still haul a bunch of crap in the back unlike a small sports car.
