Cool 6 cyl swap for 350

My 1962 cheverolet truck has a 6 cyl and i am puting in a 350 i had to order frame mounts for it seeing the 6 was mounted in the front and a 8 cyl is on the side. i will have to drill holes in the frame for the mounts but i was woundering if anyone has ever done this so i know where to place the mounts instead of bolting the motor up to the tranny thats in it and then marking the frame then pulling it all out and puting in my 4 speed and 350. is there any easier way of doing this?
