Re: need advice on buying a celica
i just bought a 90 gts w/ 130k for 2500$ and i dont feel ripped in anyway. i had an 88 (back in '93) bought w/ 77k on it, totalled it w/ 120k on it, and never had to do anything to it other than brakes. 95k on a 1995 car is low mileage actually. so on my current car, i bought it from a kinda shady dealer w/ a 30 day warranty. i been trying to find every prob before the 30 days is up. heres what i got: thought the brakes were screwy/turns out its the abs i was feeling..no prob there. thought the elec or ignition switch was screwy cuz when i took the key out, i could still work the power windows..turns out its a courtesy thing--1 minute delay, again no prob. thought MAYBE the engine was knockin, turn out its a worn motor mount is all..ill fix that myself. so in short.. 1990 gts 130k miles, and aside from that damn motor mount, i CANT find a thing wrong with it....gotta f'in love toyota!---this help any?
