to be more specific.... what you are proposing is exactly what i did. i was not happy with the drop from the sportlines so i had the Front ones cut another half inch, the back was fine from the start, but like you're saying, the fronts had a nasty two finger gap, by cutting a half inch off the fronts i had a one finger gap on both front and back, now it looks tight
