Well, it wouldn't destroy weight distribution as much as putting in an RB(longer and heavier), but it'd still be worse than with a VQ. I wouldn't mind seeing the GT-R use a turbo VK V8, actually. Still, there are the tax issues I mentioned before.

Using a V8 also might even require a different front suspension. The FX35/45 uses a different setup than the G35s and 350Z, possibly because of the V8's size. I'm not sure if the new M35/45 does it too.
