First thing to do is to isolate what is causing the problem. You can spray each door latch, up inside the door, with penetrating oil and open and close each door several times. One of the doors you spray will shut off the lights. When you find out which door it is, there is a switch on top of the latch that is sticking. Eventually this will have to be replaced.
