I don't know about that particular tire, but in general you can't really go wrong with Goodrich, and the price was certainly right for that size. I put new ones on my '97 last summer, I have 225/60/16's and went with Yokohama AS430's this time instead of the Brigestone Potenzas that I've had on it since new, and am very happy with them. However, they cost $600 for the set, so they'd better perform.

Consumer reports is a good place to shop tires. And a lot of the online tire distributors have good resources for comparing tire brands and models side by side for features and performance on their site. Tirerack.com is one I use a lot.
