Sorry, I didn't see the year model. Anyway, I had some unexplainable problems with my clutch and it turned out to be crankwalk. If the transmission is out try to push the flywheel in and out of the block, or if the tranny is still in get a pry bar and push the crank toward the passenger side of the car while someone else pushes the clutch pedal in. If the crank moves very much in either case you have problems. If it doesn't move then you can rule out crankwalk as your problem. The starter is near the firewall at the top of the transmission, and it is not that hard to take off.
Also double check all lines for leaks just to make sure.
