Sorry for not getting back sooner.
If it's the same as mine and doesn't go away after warm-up, it may be the pistons. Find another dealer that will help get it fixed. Mine was out of warranty but GM had extented the warranty due to a early 02 piston problem. Contact GM Customer Service if you can't find a dealer to listen.
The pistons/rods were replaced with new GM replacements with longer piston skirts. My TB only had 15k miles on it but it was 4 months past the 36 month warranty.
GM will tell you it will not effect the preformance nor the engine life but it sounds so bad I requested it fixed.
