There is a 88 Jeep T-case that has full time 4, not sure the numbers off of it, but its in the Limited models with the AW4 tranny. As far as your front axle issue, you can get an air locker installed for about $1500. Does your 88 have the vacuum motor on the axle housing? If so you MIGHT be able to put a simple locker in the front(Lock-Right).
