Could this be responsible for fuel pump failure??? I've got a '98 P71, and it's on its third fuel pump. (I've only burnt up one) My Dad tried to tell me that it's because I let the tank go under a 1/4 tank. (rolls eyes)

You would think that with a hole in the fuel tank, the lack of pressure would screw over the fuel pump, wouldn't it???
