Re: 4G64 CURSE need some help
ok for a intake i would go to home depot, buy a 5 foot section of 3 inch pvc pipe, a couple 90 degree elbow, and couple 45 degree elbows. Add a saw and some pvc glue to the mix and you well on your way to a home made intake that will produce the same numbers as aem! It just takes a few minutes of planning (ok this one this long, then this connector, ect ect ect). as far as hook ups, theres all sorts of ways to improvise. just make sure you get it all connected somehow and you should be fine. good luck. peace..
edit: if you dont like the classic white pvc with small blue lettering in barious spots style, you can pick up some sort of specialty engine paint or maybe make it a oem match tot he rest of your car with a can from paintscratch.com. Another good place is called paintworld or something. Search it on google or yahoo. Thats were I got the oem color can paint for my eclipse and it matches great! When the weather warms up I am going to document the exact measurements and parts list for a true cold air intake consisting of home depot parts. Im talking with water shield and all. Ill post it later this summer if theres any interest. I'm sure there are dozens out there already. peace
