Only this would happen to me...

I was screwing in the sub into the box when the phillips head slipped and hit the surround. It appears to have just chipped it, but when you press on the surround in that spot it's a lot easier to push in than on the other end. I think it might have actually punctured it. Should I just send it in for warranty and say it was damaged on shipping or can I fix this?
