Well, today I went in and the dealer just offered invoice minus the rebates ($4500) - a decent price but he wasn't moving as much as I wanted. So I might wait a couple of months - only hope that the colors/style I prefer will still be available. I'm not too worried as they're certainly not flying off the lots, since it's old technology and many people will opt for the Uplander. And if it doesn't work out with the Chevy, I'll get the MPV (although it is a bit smaller).

Do you have multiple dealers in your area? That can work to your advantage. Go around and get quotes from all the dealers, and you can use it to bargain with. Are you only interested in new? There might be some deals to be had on 2004 0r 2005 that are used,(demonstrator vehicles, or possible trade-in where former owner did not like the vehicle and traded it in for something else.) These vehicles will more than likely have low miles and the price might be better as some depreciation has already taken place. I bought one of my 1997's in '98 at a dealer. The former owner traded it in for a Blazer. It had only 16,000 miles on it. Since the vans were fairly new in our area , they were in short supply, so I was lucky to find it as it had just come into the dealership an hour before I called.
