Before the snapping sound though, for the past few years, I used to have a squeaking sound in my front right. I had the dealer look at that and they said the bushing fell out of the control arm. I had them fix it and the squeak went away for a few years. Then it came back a few months ago. So I take it the bushing fell out again. But now the squeak is gone but replaced by this snapping sound on the same side. I don't know if I let the squeak go to long to where it got a lot worse or what. Maybe their not related at all. I don't know.
