Yea, my 3.4L GTP has the same factory rev limiter at 4000 in Park. but about the timing belt, im not so sure, wish i could help you on that. I red a real long thread about the 3.4L engine and in it, timing belt replacement and setting the time was all mentioned. Apparently the timing gears at the end of the cam shafts arent fitted on with a key slot like most engines, but they are actually marked with like a paint pen and the marking can and WILL wear off. So if somehow ur timing gears were moved, then it will be extremely hard to fix, and to have a shop do it about $750 dollars. ( i hope this isnt ur problem). Let us know.
