So I finally got all my motor mounts installed. When my mechanic called to tell me they were done, he asked why I was replacing rubber ones with these "plastic" ones.

Anyways... I go in, and he says the car now vibrates ALOT more than what it did. I test drive it, and my god it was bad. The sunroof rattles, passenger door, mirrors... everything is rattling and the engine is loud as hell. He says the rubber stops the engine from vibrating the whole car. Makes sense.

Does anyone else have a big rattling problem though? I've never heard anyone mention this in any of the posts regarding engine mounts. Is there anything I can do to soften the vibrations? I was thinking taking that sound mat stuff and lining the doors and anywhere else that might quite it down a little, maybe the firewall. Any hints/tips/help? Thanks
