No oil pressure on cold start
I have this problem and it is driving me nuts. It the winter in Missouri right now so this affects my truck at winter or on really chilly summer nights. I start the truck and everyting is fine except for my oil pressure. It's at zero. So I drive a couple of miles and the truck motor warms up and then all of a sudden my oil pressure is at regular. Now I have to drive my truck about 3 miles at a good pace to get the motor warm. Now this is the part that confuses me. I turn the truck on, no oil pressure, so I drive it one mile. Turn the truck off and let it set for about 15 minutes and when I start it the oil pressure comes up just fine but the whole motor is still cold. Is the gauge just delaying a little but oil pressure is there and my motor is properly lubed??
