another idea.... why can't I just leave the computer in there and continue to use all the old stuff (temp sensor/oil/VSS)? of course, given that many of the original F.I. sensors will be gone, the computer should still work. It's just that the check engine light will be on all the time, right? But I can just pull the bulb out on that thing. What's wrong with that???
