very very tough section in drag racing.
You're not kidding! And sorry Red for sort of hi-jacking your thread here, lol.

I run bracket 1, which is the top bracket class at the local track I go to. Some tracks call it Top ET. Anyways, I can run anything electronic excpet for a track counter. So I use a delay box, trans. brake, 3-step rev limiter, line lock, and electric shift.

I've lost a couple times by .001. The most memorable was a break out on my part. I had dialed like 4.44 (330 ft. race distance-i know, odd distance but its all the track has room for, and its like 35 minutes from home, cheaper to get in ($40), and pays nearly as much as the "big"-1/8ths-2.5 hours away ($1000)), had cut a .513 RT, the other guy cut a .527 (.500 is perfect at this track), and I ran a 4.439 on a 4.44 to his 3.981 on a 3.95. It was heart breaking to say the least! Had I won, I would have been in the final round in just my 4th weekend of driving.

Anyways, I could have lifted now that I look back (and probably would now since I have a little more experience), but when you are only running 330 ft, and the other car is probably going 95 mph to your 85 mph, if you lift, they will shake you when the go around ya. And I'd rather get beat breaking out then to lift and let someone beat you becuase you let up!
