I wouldn't say it's overrated. It offers respectable performance at a decent price. But it's not what I'd spend 30K on. I like the RX-8 better; what it lacks in raw performance, it makes up for in great daily drivability, by means of a much more compliant suspension, more storage space, a quieter ride, and a smoother shifter. Then there's the WRX, which, in my opinion, has a lot more character that the slightly bland Z, not to mention the practicality of a sedan and sheer fun of AWD and a turbo engine. Then there's the Lancer Evolution RS, which will lap faster than the 350Z Track around just about any course you put it on, for the price of a 350Z Enthusiast.
