Agreed...I just painted a pearl white model using Tamiya white primer as a base coat and Tamiya pearl white over it. Even Tamiya pearl clear should be clearcoated...though it doesn't have much pearl to it whatsoever...I resorted to using some of my old LMG pearl powders to punch up the pearl effect.

I wish Tamiya white primer covered better...it was yellow plastic and it wasn't covering well at all, I resorted to spraying Tamiya gray primer over it and then shooting the white primer.
