wow i've never had to remove the whole fuel rail before. anyways if you want to relieve the pressure, what i did was access my fuel pump ( on the hump inbetween the back seat, and trunk space )and pull out both connectors goin to it, then just run the car till it stalls out.

then just be really careful with a towel, and a wrench of a vice gripe and pull and twist very very carefully so you don't ruin the top of the injectors. however using hte hammer seems to be another option too.
