Assuming your talking about front brakes. I have 180,000 miles on my 2000 Malibu, and several sets of front brakes.
I always change the rotors and the pads, throw the rotors away there not worth trying to have them turned down to remove the warp.
I've tried the expensive rotors and the cheap ones, the expensive ones warp just like the cheap ones. I have had the best luck with the cheap ones from Murray's discount autoparts (lifetime warr. they gave me the last set).
The cost for pads and rotors is under 100 and can be done with a couple of basic tools and a hanes manual if you have never done it.
Or find someone who works for pizza and beer, it only takes me about 30-45 minutes to do it with all new parts.
