The Lotus elise uses the same G/box as the Rover 200coupe, the MG montego, and MGF. Its a Roverised Honda G/box, basicly the Integra Gearbox with differnt ratios and a made in the UK stamp.
This means the Type-R engine will bolt directly to it. (infact some elise owners have converted to the ITR G/box) Making custom mounts to fit the elise is all very easy, and I have a feeling that the Rover K series despite cliams its an all new design is actualy losely based on the Honda B series engines.



OK, droping an ITR engine into your V6 chevy would I think be more work than its worth. It would work out cheaper in the end and far easier to just buy a 2nd hand ITR.
Or an even better option would be to look at the performance modifcations avliable for your car, prehaps Supercharging etc...
