Re: Like the noise but dont want to vent?!?! Alternative to venting

Well mission (install pipe) accomplished but goal (louder phsst) failure. I bought the same pipe as u, the Wall tube for around 2-3 bucks and a small saw. I then got home from home depot and cut the pipe into the correct size.
heres a pic of stock tube and wall tube:

After that, i placed the metal pipe in its place between the bov and the intake. It was hard to stuggle it in but it went in. I noticed that it was VERY lose and air can be leaking out of it. I then took off the pipe and duct tape both ends of the bov and the intake for a better fit. After that i put the pipe back on and it was harder this time cause the duct tape was in the way but i did get it on. I then made sure no air can come out of both ends so i duct tape them too haha.. duct tape is the bomb! well it looks AMAZING!

After i got everything done i decided for a test drive. This is where everything got dissapointing. I reved it up to 5500 b4 i shifted into 3rd but i didnt hear that high pitch sound that i used to hear.. instead, i heard a hollow fhssss sound. I then got kinda pissed and reved to 6500 and shifted into 3rd but still no high pitch chirp sound it used to make. After the test drive i drove it back home and installed the older rubber tube into the car and everything is back to normal.

lesson learned.
1g bov w/ metal piping = hollow sound
1g bov w/ stock rubber tube= high pitch chirp

By the way i have sound clips of before and after if any1 is intrested in them aim me at Viet Mustang or u guys can help me post up the sound/vid on here... either way dont matter.

EDIT: yes what u saw there was duct tape on my bov.. i dont know why its there but its just there.. its too gooey and sticky to remove so i left it on there haha.
