I just purchased a 95 PFXE which was certified and eTested yesterday. I took it in for an oil change today and they indicated the CV Axle Shaft needs replacing.
This was apparantly due to the boot being split open?
Should have this been caught and repaired by the Garage who did the safety?
The estimate from Active Green and Ross was 4.2 hours labour at $89.00, 1 CV Shafft $238 and 1 CV Driveshaft $238.
I have called the garage who issued the safety and they will be looking at it on Monday.
Any advice would be appreciate.
Thanks,
CJ
