tap on your MAF with screwdriver while car is idling if car kills while doing that there ya go. (sounds crazy but I thought my fuel pump was going bad till I discovered my car was quitting due to bad MAF) I know cieras and I would start there. Keep in mind CPS sensor can also cause intermittent stalling. I would say If you hear your fuel pump humming its good to go usually when they quit you hear no humming. If MAF and CPS check out then test your fuel pressure. If no fuel pressure see if your 3.1's oil pressure sensor is also a fuel pump cutoff switch like my 3300 is, as thats only a $30 repair but its not very easy access. Also make sure your underhood fuel pump fuse is good no broken wire bad fuse. If all else fails yes your fuel pump is inside your fuel tank, you might as well get new straps and bolts too.
